This page describes what Find Me A Purpose actually does today, not a generic template. If something here ever stops matching how the site behaves, treat this page as needing an update.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall traffic and usage patterns. Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser to do this and may collect standard information such as pages visited, general device/browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not layer any additional tracking, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking on top of this.

Forms and accounts

Find Me A Purpose does not require an account, email address, or sign-up to use the purpose quiz or the Explore opportunity search. There are no data-collection forms on this site. Quiz answers are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Explore location search

When you type a city, state, or ZIP code into Explore, it is used to resolve an approximate search point from location data bundled with the site and to rank nearby resources. We do not request your device's precise location, do not create a location profile, and do not intentionally retain your search after the session. Explore may fetch allowlisted public RSS, Atom, or ICS feeds on the server, but your typed location is not sent to those feed publishers.

Third parties

Explore result cards and discovery resources can link to official organizations and third-party directories such as Meetup, Eventbrite, Idealist, AmeriCorps, and other public resources. Find Me A Purpose does not import those directories through paid APIs in this version. Visiting an external site is subject to that site's own privacy practices.
